Councillor Adrienne Jeorrett – Personal and Prejudicial – Application Code No. P/2016/0411 –  personal friends were objecting to the application. The Councillor withdrew from the meeting for this item taking no part in the discussion and voting thereon.

The Head of Planning and Environment submitted a report (HEP/60/17) for Members’ consideration of planning applications and attention was drawn to his addendum report where relevant.

Application Code No. P/2016/0411 – Erection of 2 No. single-dwellings on Land off Quarry Road and New Road, Brynteg, Wrexham.

RESOLVED – That permission be GRANTED in accordance with the recommendation of the Head of Environment and Planning as set out in report HEP/60/17 together with the additional conditions contained within the Addendum Report.

Application Code No. P/2017/0249 – Sub-division and change of use of Ground Floor of Unit 1 to a Class A3 Pizza Take-Away and delivery, installation of new shop front and customer entrance and access ramp within the front elevation and installation of flue and plant at side elevation at Regent House, Regent Street, Wrexham.

 

During consideration of the application the Local Member (Councillor Marc Jones) suggested that, if Members were minded to grant permission, proposed Condition No. 6 be amended to reflect the reduced hours of opening proposed by the applicant.   It was further proposed that a condition be included for the provision of a litter bin within close proximity to the premises.   This was agreed by the Committee.

 

RESOLVED – That permission be GRANTED in accordance with the recommendation of the Head of Environment and Planning as set out in report HEP/60/17 with the following additional conditions thereto:

 

Amend Condition No. 6

 

No use of the development shall be made before 1000 hours to 2300 hours Monday to Thursday or before 1000 hours to 0000 hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

Add Conditions No. 7

 

A litter bin shall be provided within close proximity of the premises in accordance with details to be submitted and approved in wring with the Local Planning Authority.  The approved litter bin shall be provided prior to the first use of the premises as an A3 takeaway.

Reason: To prevent the spillage of litter in the interests of the visual amenities of the area.

Application Code No. P/2017/0409 – Change of use for the provision of holiday accommodation allied to the existing fishery comprising 8 holiday lodges and 12 timber holiday pods, central facilities lodge and reception/managers lodge and construction of fishing lake at Commonwood Fishery, Buck Road, Commonwood, Holt, Wrexham.

Mr Jonathan Moore Lamb (agent) spoke in support of the application.

 

During consideration of the application the Chair, in his role as Local Member, suggested that, if Members were minded to grant planning permission, a further condition be included to control external lighting from the site to protect the wider visual amenity of the rural area.  This was agreed by the Committee.
