The Head of Environment and Planning submitted a report (HEP/04/19) for Members’ consideration of planning applications and attention was drawn to his Addendum report where relevant.

Application Code No. P/2018/0925 – Erection of 2 No. semi-detached two bedroom dwellings and formation of new accesses to highway at 50 Stryt Issa, Pen-y-cae, Wrexham.

 

RESOLVED – That a SITE VISIT be arranged for Members of the Committee to view the application site prior to determination of the application by the Committee.

 

Reason for Visit:   To assess the impact of the proposed development upon the street scene.

Application Code No. P/2018/0367 – Demolition of existing house and shippon, erection of new 5 bedroom house and refurbishment of existing stable and barn building (resubmission of Planning Permission Code No. P/2015/0434 at Gwern Y to Shocklach Lane, Worthenbury, Wrexham.

 

The Local Member (Councillor J R Skelland) commented upon the planning history of the site and that this was a resubmission following the expiry of an identical planning application which was granted in August 2015.

 

RESOLVED – That permission be GRANTED in accordance with the recommendation of the Head of Environment and Planning as set out in report HEP/04/19.

Application Code No. P/2018/0448 – Demolition of existing conservatory to allow for proposed two-storey rear extension to incorporate consultancy room facilities together with internal alterations and ramped access at The Brighter Futures Group, 3 Belmont Road, Wrexham.

 

(Member declaration of interest in relation to this application is set out in Minute 43 above).

 

The Local Member (Councillor R Alun Jenkins) commented that the amended plans had addressed his previous concerns regarding the scale of the proposed extension and its proximity to the neighbouring property.   Subject to the building materials being in-keeping with the appearance of the existing Conservation Area, he indicated his support for the application.

 

RESOLVED – That permission be GRANTED in accordance with the recommendation of the Head of Environment and Planning as set out in report HEP/04/19.

Application Code No. P/2018/0560 – Outline Planning Application for residential development of two parcels of land (Northern Parcel for up to 61 No. dwellings, Southern Parcel for up to 71 No. dwellings), extension to community parking facility (in association with Northern Parcel) with associated means of access and all other matters reserved with indicative provision made for pedestrian crossing, pedestrian linkages, public open space and affordable housing on land to the North and South of Lane Farm, Rossett Road, Trevalyn, Rossett, Wrexham. 

  

Mr J Filce (objector) spoke against the application.

Mr J Paul (agent) spoke in support of the application.

 

The Planning Control Lead drew Members’ attention to four further representations from objectors to the proposed development and to written representations in objection to the proposed development submitted by Councillor Andrew Atkinson, adjoining Local Member.
