Correction to Minutes: 7 May 2019 – Minute 69 – Declarations of Personal Interest. Councillors Adrienne Jeorrett and Ronnie Prince left the meeting taking no part in the discussion and voting thereon. 17 May 2019 – Minute 69 – Councillor Paul Jones had been marked as absent. RESOLVED – That subject
to the above amendments the Minutes of the Meetings held on 7 May and 17 May
2019 be signed as a correct record. |

Application No. P/2018/0776 - Lodge Farm, Off Borras Road, Commonwood, Wrexham Additional documents: Minutes: An objector spoke against the application. The Local Member (Cllr Hugh Jones) raised concerns about noise levels and informed Committee Members that he had received numerous complaints about the noise and how it could impact on the nearby Dog Boarding Kennels. In response The Public Protection Service Manager, confirmed that the noise was below recommended noise levels but Members were referred to the suggested conditions in the report.
RESOLVED – That permission
be REFUSED Reason The frequency of gunshots at the
proposed rifle firing range in terms of noise and sudden impact would be a
constant source of irritation and disturbance to neighbouring noise sensitive
properties, detrimental to their amenity. To allow the proposed development
would be contrary to Wrexham Unitary Development Plan policy GDP1 (f) The proposed development has the potential to increase traffic
through a substandard vehicular access. Visibility in the easterly direction is
impeded and falls significantly short of the prescribed standards set out in
Welsh government TAN 18. To allow the development would be contrary to Wrexham
Unitary Development Plan policy GDP1 (d) |

Application No. P/2018/0863 - Drill Hall House, Station Avenue, Chirk, Wrexham Additional documents: Minutes: A
member of the public spoke against the application. Concern
was expressed in relation to the positioning of the pigeon loft and the issues
caused by the pigeons including noise, odour and droppings. RESOLVED – That a SITE VISIT
be arranged for Members of the Committee to view the application site prior to
determination of the application by the Committee. Reason for Visit: To consider the impact of the proposed development upon residential
properties to the rear of the site. |

Local Member (Councillor Gwenfair Jones) informed the Committee Members that
during a recent Gwersyllt Community Council Meeting she had left the meeting
when this application was being discussed due to being a member of Planning
